Degrees

PhD, Mechanical Engineering, UCI (Expected 2021)
MSc, Renewable Energies, University of Tehran (2015)
BSc, Mechanical Engineering, University of Tehran (2013)

Research

I use simulations, computational algorithms, and numerical methods to study multiphase flows and heat transfer in micro and nanoscale porous structures.

Biography

I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. I completed my BSc and MSc in University of Tehran and I moved to USA in 2016 to pursue my PhD in Mechanical engineering department at UCI. I work in Prof. Yoonjin Won's lab and the focus of my research is heat transfer and thermal sciences in micro and nanoscales.

Why is science communication important to you personally?

I think regardless of the field, communication is a part of everybody's life. If you are a musician or an artist, you try to effectively communicate what you have in your mind through your music or art. Science communication is exactly the same. Unless you are a good communicator, no one would know about the amazing things that you have done in science. For a scientist, it is very important to educate others, learn from them, and make an impact and this is possible only with good communication.
