Sarah studies physical processes controlling circulation and heat in a tropical reef-lagoon system.
Biography
Sarah grew up in between Arizona and Georgia. She returned to Arizona, earning her undergraduate and Masters degree in civil engineering at the University of Arizona, with an emphasis in water resources. Her love of research and the ocean led her to pursue her PhD at UC Irvine in the Coastal Dynamics Lab. Outside of research, Sarah enjoys running with her two dogs and spending as much time outside climbing, hiking, and camping.
Why is science communication important to you?
Science should be accessible and inspirational! Science communication allows people to better understand and engage with the world around them. It also helps guide everything from individual decisions to policy making!
