Biography
I am interested in science communication because I believe that scientific discoveries can only make a meaningful impact when they are understood and trusted especially in the current environment where misinformation is widespread. I am particularly motivated by the challenge of translating complex ideas into concise interesting messages that resonate with audiences outside the science community, especially those who might feel disconnected from science. LDOS offers a unique opportunity to accomplish my goals since it allows scientists in training to engage with the general public by parsing cool scientific research into succinct, bitesize segments.
Why is science communication important to you personally?
In the next 5 to 10 years, I hope to work as a scientist in the biotech sector, where science communication will become a core part of my role. As I aim to advance scientific research in the lab, I will also strive to translate complex research into clear, accessible messages for key stakeholders, such as regulators, investors, and the public, to build trust, support informed decision-making, and ensure our work has real-world impact.
