Middle school students at the Warner Middle School and Westminster High School celebrated One World AntiPrism Day on November 3, 2023! An antiprism is a 3D Prism with two parallel shapes connected with rectangles. Think of something like a box of Cheerios! ANTIprisms have a novel twist — they use alternating triangles for their side faces instead. One points up, one points down! This aesthetically-pleasing geometry has inspired mathematicians, artists, and even architects! Antiprisms make up the One World Trade Center in New York City, designed by David Childs. The students learned about this complex geometry and made their own antiprism creations!
