Describe your personality … in ONE EMOJI!

Texting a friend? That winky face says more than you think! Dr. Simon Dubé at Indiana University explored how emotional awareness and intimacy influence emoji use.
They surveyed around three hundred adults on their emoji use across different relationships. Participants also completed assessments to measure their emotional intelligence and comfort with closeness.
And? People who shy away from emotional intimacy used fewer emojis. This was especially true with friends and romantic partners! Those better at navigating emotional interactions used emojis to enhance communication.
Emojis can reflect emotional openness and improve remote interactions where face-to-face cues are absent.
So keep it 100, show your SPARKLE, and don’t be an EGGPLANT!
