Sweet Dreams

Is there a hack for… dreams?!

This is Sandra Tsing Loh with the Loh Down on Science.

Lucid dreaming is when you realize that you’re dreaming while you’re still asleep. Could meditation strengthen this state of awareness between waking and sleeping?

Osnabrück University’s Elena Gerhardt and team investigated.

They divided participants into meditation and non-meditation groups. Then, participants tracked how often they experienced lucid dreaming.

And? People who meditate twice or more a day have more lucid dreams than those who don’t! An interesting insight into how meditation can influence the mind — even during sleep!

I’ll say ‘OM’ to that! Wait! Not the public speaking in my underpants dream again. This is definitely NOT the MINDFULNESS I had in MIND!
