Circuit Smarts

What if creating tech was as simple as… IKEA directions?!

This is Sandra Tsing Loh with the Loh Down on Science saying… the future … is coming soon!

Enter Michael Chuang and teams from Stanford University and the Allen Institute for AI.

Check out their Large Circuit Models. These are massive AI systems based on the silicon microchips we all know from our smartphones. What do they do? Make more microchips!

They’ve been trained on millions of existing blueprints. But they don’t just copy old designs. They learn the “language” of circuitry. And they’re capable of connecting millions of components into new, efficient layouts. From here, development could take off exponentially!

Are you computer engineering geeks excited yet? Wake me when it can build a shelving fjallbo.
