You’re going down, DIABEETUS!

Diet and lifestyle choices are the gold standard for treating diabetes. We know the benefits of low fat, low sugar foods. But how big of a difference can exercise make?

Enter Sampath Amaravadi and team at the University of Birmingham. They led a structured workout program over twelve weeks with one hundred sixty diabetic patients. They trained in aerobics, resistance, or both!

Results? Blood sugar, insulin levels, AND exercise performance significantly improved over this twelve week program! Diabetic patients even experienced improved PSYCHOLOGICAL health AND better social relationships after the clinical trial!

Looks like regular exercise can knock diabetes OUT! Boo yah! And stay down!
